NACD Human Capital Symposium
May 17 @ 8:00 am - May 18 @ 5:00 pm
From rank and file to the boardroom, talent plays a key role in determining company value—especially now. Nearly two-thirds of respondents to the 2020-2021 Global Director Survey Report from NACD and the other members of the Global Institute of Corporate Directors, representing more than 150,000 board members around the world, said that the coronavirus pandemic will increase competition for talent. Meanwhile, companies in a wide range of industries are facing the dual challenge of maintaining health and safety in brick-and-mortar locations while continuing to operate in a largely virtual environment. NACD has created the Human Capital Symposium to equip directors to meet such challenges. This program will offer insights and information on human capital from recruitment, to development, to compensation, to issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. A special board composition module will draw examples from NACD’s Accelerate program, in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Executive Leadership Council (ELC), and other communities committed to board diversity.
